Choosing workwear

Conti suits and boilersuits

A conti suit is a two-piece work suit (jacket and pants), which is easier to size and swap than a one-piece boilersuit. We stock Dromex 65/35 polyester-cotton conti suits (the 6535 range, cut to SANS 434 fit), denim, reflective and HACCP conti suits, sold as full suits or as separate jackets and pants.

Flame and acid resistant clothing

Where there is a risk of flash fire or chemical splash, ordinary poly-cotton is not enough. The range includes the Dromex D59 flame & acid suits and boilersuit (with ladies' sizes), DuPont Nomex fire suits, acid-resistant conti suits and Eskom-specification D59 garments. For electrical arc hazards you need arc-rated clothing; see arc flash protection.

Hi-vis and reflective vests

Reflective vests and reflective conti suits make workers visible around vehicles and machinery. If your site or client specifies a hi-vis standard (such as SANS/EN ISO 20471), check the product page or ask us before ordering.

Lab coats and dust coats

Reusable Dromex dust and lab coats suit labs, workshops and stores, and the HACCP version suits food areas. For visitors and single-use needs, see the non-woven lab coats and visitor coats in hygiene apparel.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a conti suit and a boilersuit?

A conti suit is two pieces (jacket and pants), while a boilersuit (overall) is one piece. Conti suits are easier to fit when top and bottom sizes differ, and one half can be replaced on its own.

Do you sell coveralls?

Yes. Reusable boilersuits are in this category under flame & acid retardant. Single-use disposable coveralls are under PPE.

Can you add our company logo?

Logo branding and name personalisation are offered on our corporate wear range. For branding on other garments, ask us for a quote.
